About
Amy Center Cory lives with her family under the wide blue skies of Montana, where she loves watching her two boys and her collection of picture books grow taller every day. When she’s not writing or making art, Amy is usually enjoying the mountain air and sunshine, baking super-sweet treats, or poking around in the garden, hoping something green will sprout.
Amy loves to play with light, color, and the rhythm of words. She invents stories and art for children to spark creativity, encourage reading time with family and friends, and inspire kids to think and dream about the world around us. She believes everyone deserves a warm place to read, a bit of quiet time, and the magic of shared stories.
Amy is an active member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), Julie Hedlund’s 12 x 12 Picture Book Writing Challenge, and Courage to Create with Bethany Hegedus. She has a Certificate in Children’s Illustration through the UCSD Extension and enjoys being a part of the other great programs below.
